Dolce – La Hulpe Brussels Hotels & Resorts

This site, which is made up of 14 buildings in the Forêt de Soignes, formerly was the training centre of IBM. Its reconversion into a 4-star convention centre of the Dolce Group was completed in a record time of 18 months, including the demolition.

This operation which was executed as a “bouwteam” or building team between the contractor Besix and the property developer Banimmo, required the various stakeholders, including the conceptual team as well as the construction project management team, to work together to permanently optimise the works and check the expenditure on a daily basis.

The international team (a Swedish designer, an American user, the design office was German) had to work coordinate the studies carefully to ensure that everyone worked with the same information, while respecting Belgian standards.

The hotel has 264 rooms, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a swimming pool, a gym, a hammam and sauna, 25 meeting rooms including two auditoriums with 150 and 500 seats espectively, a 700 sq.m. multipurpose hall, etc. The park was also redesigned and a multipurpose terrace, two tennis courts added and three large car parks that were entirely renovated.

In the margin of these changes, but within the same time frame and on the same site, the property developer also renovated one of the buildings turning it into an office building for Swift.

Immo-Pro was in charge of the management of the entire construction project, overseeing the construction, the multiple techniques, the interior design, the furniture, environmental aspects and the green areas around the buildings.
