The ReMa project involves the renovation of a prestigious building belonging to ING, located on the edge of the Brussels inner ring road, at the level of the Rue du Trône. It was designed by architect Gordon Bunshaft in 1965 and enlarged in 1992. The building is “safeguarded”, which means that its architectural features must be preserved.
Les deux principaux défis de ce projet sont :
- Improving the building’s energy performance (and comfort), with the aim of coming as close as possible to the requirements of a passive building and obtaining BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certification.
- Completely renovate the building while maintaining occupation of part of the offices during the project.
Before embarking on the programming and studies for the renovation of the Marnix building in Brussels, ING chose to work with Immo-Pro, not only for the construction supervision phase but also further upstream. This is how we helped ING define the ambitions of its project, as well as its budget and schedule. We also helped ING choose the project management team (architect and design consultants) and the contractor, so as to bring together the best team for this ambitious project. By choosing its Assistant Project Manager from the outset of the project, ING has given itself every chance of succeeding.
Our mission is a classic delegated project management mission covering all aspects, from optimising the project and handling the planning permission procedure right through to handover of the works, acting as conductor throughout the project. In addition, we also act as Construction Manager.
